A Brewton woman, the subject of several outstanding Atmore warrants, was arrested here January 24 by Atmore police — inside a car that turned out to be stolen.
Sgt. Darrell McMann reported that around 1:25 p.m. on that date a city police officer spotted a vehicle backed into the tree line along North Main Street, near its intersection with Howard Street.
The officer determined that the driver, later identified as 39-year-old Rebecca Boutwell, was wanted on several warrants obtained previously by APD, including one each for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and two for assault with body fluids.
It was also determined that the car she was in had been reported stolen, so Boutwell was also charged with one count of first-degree receiving stolen property.
She was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center, where she remained Monday, January 30, under a $10,000 bond.
