Due to the age of the suspect at the time he reportedly committed the crimes, the records have been sealed related to the recent arrest of an 18-year-old Flomaton man on felony charges that he forced himself sexually on a female, apparently an Atmore resident.
The Escambia County Detention Center website shows that Trace J. “Jaxon” Singleton was booked into the facility December 16. An employee of the county jail’s booking and release division said Singleton was released December 19 after a $250,000 bond was posted on his behalf.
Warrants obtained by Atmore Police Department investigators indicate that the recent high school graduate is charged with one count each of first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse. The date of the offenses was not disclosed, nor was any further information.
The age of the victim is not known, but the ECDC jail log shows that Singleton was booked on charges related to “with a girl, strong arm sexual contact, compulsion.”
All records pertaining to the investigation and eventual arrest have been turned over to juvenile authorities, according to an APD spokesperson.
