Gerald David Nall 

Nall

Mr. Gerald David Nall, age 57, born in Atmore, Ala. and a resident of Goodway, Ala., passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at his residence. He was a residential contractor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Nall is survived by his wife, Kim Coley Nall of Goodway; his children, Melanie Diane (David) Odom of Saraland, Ala., Jordan Claire Nall of Goodway and Ripley Caitlin (Marty) Beste of Columbus, Miss.; his parents, Betty Jeanette and William Henry Couch of Irvington, Ala.; three brothers, Danny Ray (Sandra) Nall of Atmore, Ronald Eugene (Jennifer) Nall of Goodway and Rodney Carey (Teri) Nall of Memphis, Tenn. and grandchildren, Emilee Jade Odom, Bentley David Odom, Charleigh Ann Odom, Reagan Marie Odom, Sawyer Clair Odom, Elijah Nall Gattison, Novalee Willia Nall Gattison, Ada Johanna Beste, Rockwell Anthony Beste, Osborne Killian Beste, Wolfgang Alistair Beste and Maartje Alagertha Beste.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Winston Arnold Brown

Mr. Winston Arnold Brown, age 84, of McDavid, Fla., passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of the McDavid area. He retired from Campbell Sand and Gravel. He was of the Baptist faith, and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Brown; wife, Doris Brown, Tammy Campbell; granddaughters, Kalea Brown and Daisy Campbell.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brown of McDavid; three sons, Tony (Angi) Brown of Pace, Fla., Steve (Tami) Brown of Jay, Fla. and Mike (Lori) Brown Flomaton, Ala. and son-in-law, Timbo Campbell; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday December 10, 2022 from Noon until 2 p.m. service time at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 10, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Flomaton Funeral Home with Brother Chip Barbas officiating. Interment will follow in Crary Memorial Cemetery in Bluff Springs Fla. with Flomaton Funeral Home Directing.

Glenda Manning Mason

Mrs. Glenda Manning Mason, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 in Atmore. She was born in Pensacola, Fla.  She worked at Best Western in Atmore for fifteen years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents who raised her, Benjamin and Alice Manning; her mother, Emma Manning Huggins; her stepfather, Grady Huggins; her husband, Marvin Mason, Jr., and her siblings, Buddy Manning, Jerry Manning, Bonnie Manning, Edna Ard, May Goodale and Evelyn Cowan. 

Mrs. Mason is survived by her son, Bryan Mason of Talladega, Ala.; her daughters, Janet (Dennis) Jarrell, Tracey (Rusty) Slate and Careesa Mason, all of Atmore; her brother, Robert (Doris) Manning of Elberta, Ala.; four grandchildren, Nichole McGhee, Tyler Jarrell, Destiny Cook and Jordan Perez along with six great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens in Atmore. 

Active pallbearers will be Bryan Mason, Tony Jones, Dennis Jarrell, Jake McGhee, Rusty Slate, Jordan Perez and Tyler Jarrell. 

The family will receive friends Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Daniel Frederick Boone

Mr. Daniel Frederick Boone, age 48, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, in Montgomery, Ala. He was born in Atmore, Ala. and resided most of his life in Mobile, Ala. He worked construction as an iron worker for many years. He enjoyed spending time on the houseboat, and going to the beach. He also enjoyed going down to help with the Beach Cleanups. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, squirrel hunting, and deer hunting. He loved walking on the creeks looking for arrowheads and driftwood to build custom lamps.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wayne Boone and one brother, Brian Matthew Boone.
Mr. Boone is survived by his mother, Mary Boone (Brandon Dawson) of Atmore; one son, Dawson Farish Boone of Ill.; one daughter, Madison Alice Boone of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one brother, John Travis (Shanna) Boone of Mobile;; other  relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1p.m. at Mamie’s Chapel Cemetery with Pastor, Cornelius Phillips officiating.

Joseph Michael Narciso

Mr. Joseph Michael Narciso, age 90, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Atmore. He was born in Camden, N.J. He served in the United States Army.  After earning his Doctor of Philosophy degree, he became a college professor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred Narciso. 

Mr. Narciso is survived by his wife, Catherine Timmons; his stepdaughter, Katie Timmons of Naples, Fla. and his sister, Mary Macey of Delran Township, N.J. 

No formal services will be held.

Norman Glenn Dean

Mr. Norman Glenn Dean, age 68, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in Mobile, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore, Ala. He was a big truck driver for many years. He was an avid drag racer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman William (Mary Alice Brown) Dean.

Mr. Dean is survived by his one son, Michael Wormy (Amy) Dean of Atmore, AL; one daughter, LaWanda Dean of Miss.; brother-in law, Thomas (Pam) Amos of Atmore; three grandchildren, Caitlyn Gindl, Whitney (Blake) Adams, Mary Joiner Dean; five great-grandchildren, Vivian Gindl, Isabel Gindl, Little Rudy Gindl, Conner Gindl, Lanceton Adams, other relatives, and friends.

Douglas Chester Byrd

Mr. Douglas Chester Byrd, age 53, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Mobile, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore, Ala. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed going fishing and hunting. He loved tinkering with his motorcycle and boat.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Byrd

Mr. Byrd is survived by his mother, Earline Byrd of Atmore; his loving wife of thirty-four  years, Kulua Byrd of Atmore; one son, Harley Byrd of Atmore; four daughters, Alysha (Blake) Cunningham, Samantha Byrd, Heather (Nate) Fernandez and Taylor Byrd, all of Atmore; one brother, Michael (Tiffany) Byrd of Atmore; one sister, Angie (Blevin) Davis of Milton; nine grandchildren, Adrienne, Traegan, Kaydence, Blakelynn, Cole, Ophelia, Aurora, Lehlani, Benson; two nephews, Jaxon Byrd, Dalton Davis; one niece, Beth McMorris; other relatives, and friends.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Jeanette Milstid

Ms. Jeanette Milstid, age 81, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. She has resided most of her life in Rabun, Ala. She was a very good cook and enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening both, her flowers and vegetable garden. She liked to go fishing and sit down to watch a good western.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie (Lucy Harville) Taylor; two brothers, John William Taylor, and Jimmy Taylor.

Ms. Milstid is survived by her three daughters, Kathy (Richard) Fisette of Ohio, Wanda (Bret) Barton of Kennesaw, Ga. and Debbie (Keith) Patterson of Bay Minette, Ala.; three sisters, Marie Stacey and Shirley (Buddy) Hadley, all of Rabun and Sally Sprinkle of Whitehouse Fork, Ala.; ten grandchildren, Anna McBee, Ryan Clemmons, Brandon Hughes, Joe (Evelyn) Barton, Leah Barton, Charlie Barton, Sarah Barton, Skye Patterson, Dalton (Haley) Patterson, Scott Davis; three great-grandchildren, Caden Clemmons, Maleah Bryars, Teighlor Hadley; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Sis: Helen Stewart and Rev. Danny Ray Taylor officiating. Burial followed at Dean Cemetery.

Rosemary Marie Merchant

Mrs. Rosemary Marie Merchant, age 50, of Jay, Fla., passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Pensacola to Clifford F. and Mary Ann Weekley Williams.  She attended Cora Baptist Church and was the store manager of the Family Dollar Store in Jay. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Mrs. Merchant is survived by her husband, Ronnie Merchant of Jay; her son, Coty (Kirsten) Merchant of Jay; her daughter, Kayla (Tyler) Cofield of Century, Fla.; her brother, James Williams of Uriah, Ala.; her sister, Terri Williams of Uriah; her grandchildren, Lane Merchant, Bralyn Merchant and Aiden Cofield; her nephews, Bailey Williams and Austin Williams. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Cora Baptist Church with Bro. Ladon Hall officiating.  Interment will follow in Cora Baptist Church Cemetery in Jay. 

Active pallbearers will be Coty Merchant, Keaton Maher, Timothy Victor, Brian Moore, Steven Dunsford and Tyler Cofield. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Erik Merchant and Michael Merchant. 

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. at Cora Baptist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward funeral expenses at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Ms. Barbara Jean Hall, age 70, of Vacaville, Calif., formerly of Detroit, Mich. and Atmore, Ala. passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 in Vacaville, Fla.

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Fagin, age 58, of Atmore, Ala., was held Saturday, December 10. 2022 at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, Tensaw, Ala., with Rev. Leo Campbell, Pastor/Officiating.

Allen J. Crapps

Mr. Allen J. Crapps, age 73, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, in Flomaton, Ala. He was born in Flomaton and resided most of his life in Century, Fla. He was employed with the City of Flomaton for many years. He enjoyed going fishing and cutting grass. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan and Nascar Racing Fan. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and small engines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Jefferson (Sadie Johnson) Crapps; wife, Dorsey Crapps and one brother, Johnny Crapps.

Mr. Crapps is survived by his one daughter, Jessica (Jarvis) Slate of Flomaton; one brother, James Crapps of Century; one grandchild, Alexandria Slate of Flomaton; best friend, Rhonda Killiam; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at McCurdy Cemetery.

Mr. Zeno Green, Jr., age 67, of Bay Minette, Ala., passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at North Infirmary Hospital.
