First Baptist Church hosted national singer, musician and songwriter Gordon Mote, left, in concert Sunday evening, December 4. Folks ready to get in the Christmas spirit filled the church. Mote performed modern Christmas songs and familiar carols with the audience singing along. He and his longtime friend FBC pastor Rev. Kevin Garrett sang a duet, “Mary, Did You Know?” Mote was also accompanied by a community choir formed just for this event.
