Heavily damaged

A Cessna Golden Eagle 421-B aircraft sits nose down on the apron of Atmore Municipal Airport, at the spot it came to rest Sunday (October 23) after its pilot reportedly misread the area while parking it. According to airport employee “NASCAR Ron” Moye, the plane spun around when it hit a patch of sand and wet grass, causing its nose tire to collapse and both engines to make contact with the ground. Moye said nobody was hurt in the mishap, which took place around noon and caused estimated damages of “about $160,000” to the aircraft.
