Mr. Billy “Wild Bill” Alexander McCaster, age 60, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Covenant Hospice at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Faith Center, 710 E. Ridgeley Street with Bishop Wayne Johnson, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Dale Caraway

Mr. Dale Caraway, age 66, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore. He was a supervisor at a local grocery store for many years. He enjoyed playing video games, watching TV and listening to music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Maureen Caraway; two brothers, Johnny Carlton Caraway and Edward Caraway; two sisters, Rebie Blanton, and Dorothy Henderson.
Mr. Caraway is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Tracey Caraway of Atmore; children, Chief Master. Sgt. Chris Robinson, Brandon Henderson; two brothers, Bob Caraway and Jimmy (Shona) Caraway, all of Atmore; two sisters, Maureen Searcy of Atmore and Ernestine Brantley of Wedowee, Ala.; two grandchildren, Autumn Drew Blankenship and Brayden Robinson, two great-grandchildren, Vincent Blankenship and Margaret Blankenship; special children in his life, Reagan King, Aiden Harrelson, Rileigh Harrelson, Seth Searcy; two special friends, Edward Davis, Wanda Pittman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A special thanks to, two special nieces, Connie Rolin and Angela Searcy.
Celebration of life was held Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with some special kind words from Mrs. Wanda Pittman.

Marjorie Lucille Taylor Dean

Mrs. Marjorie Lucille Taylor Dean, age 93, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in Westminster Village, Willow Brook Court in Spanish Fort, Ala. She was born in McCullough, Ala. to the late Dallas and Dorothy Taylor. She was educated at McCullough and Lottie Elementary schools, Perdido Junior High, Baldwin County High, Troy State College (BA), Spring Hill College and the University of South Alabama where she received a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught at the Perdido School for seventeen years. After retirement she assisted with bookkeeping and management of the family farm. She was an avid reader, loved sewing, had a natural talent for growing plants and gardening and had many other hobbies too numerous to list. She especially enjoyed hosting and assisting with celebrations of graduations, weddings and baby showers in the local communities. Mrs. Dean was a member of the Lottie United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and served on various committees. In later years, she and her husband enjoyed square dancing and traveling internationally and throughout the United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty-five years, David.  

Mrs. Dean is survived by her three daughters: Cheryl (Burk) McWilliams of Arley, Ala., Karen (Steve) Caldwell and Susan (Jim) McCracken, all of Lottie; seven grandchildren, Vaughn (Callan) McWilliams, Thomas (Rebecca) McWilliams, Jason (Stephanie) Caldwell, Rachael Caldwell (Mike) Busby, Josh (April) Caldwell, Jim McCracken, Jennifer Michelle McCracken (Charlie) Chevalier and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services, with only the immediate family in attendance, will be held at the Lottie New Home Cemetery officiated by Dr. Bob Stauffacher, Chaplain, Westminster Village. A celebration of her life for extended family and friends will be held at a later date.

In place of flowers, the family would be grateful for any donations to the Lottie United Methodist Church, 59635 Jack Springs Road, Atmore, Ala. 36502 or to the Lottie New Home Cemetery Fund, 59055 Lottie Rd., Atmore, AL 36502.

Franklin “Shorty” Carnley

Mr. Franklin “Shorty” Carnley, age 87, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 in Century, Fla. He was born in Jay, Fla. and resided most of his life in Davisville, Fla. He was a member of Calvary Deliverance Temple Church. He enjoyed family reunions, going to church and playing his bass guitar. He enjoyed going fishing in Escambia River Swamp catching shell crackers, playing golf and loved to travel in his motorhome.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pink Holly and Gladys Carnley; wife, Letha Carnley; seven brothers, Glenn Carnley, Floyd Carnley, Horace Carnley, Lenell Carnley, L J Carnley, Doug Carnley and Dan Carnley; three sisters, Jeanette Morris, Thelma Petty and Mae Smith Owens.
Mr. Carley is survived by his three sons, Rick (Karen) Hardy, Mark Kevin Carnley and Darren (Judy) Carnley, all of Davisville; one daughter, Lorraine Kite, of McDavid; six grandchildren, Shane Hardy, Dywane Carnley, Rachael Carnley, Julie Moyer, Cody Qualls, Alissa Williams; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Sister Enfinger, Sister Darlene Defee and Rev. Charles Blackmon officiating.

Burial followed at Pine Barren Cemetery.
The family received friends Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.
Pallbearers were Shane Hardy, Rick Hardy, Darren Carnley, Dywane Carnley, Josh Hardy, and Tristan Reeves.

Allen Hall

Mr. Allen Hall, age 45, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. He resided most of his life in Atmore, AL. He drove a “Big Trucks” for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing, hunting, and “Alabama Football.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Frank and Brenda Newton Hall.
Mr. Hall is survived by his one son, Cody Hall of Atmore; three sisters, Vicky (Don) Williams, of Atmore, Lisa (Ricky) Ward of Excel, Ala. Michelle (Claude) Tuberville of Saraland, Ala.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Bro. David Kralik officiating. Burial will follow at McCullough Cemetery.

Mrs. Gloria Sims, age 80, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, August 29, 2022.

Celebration of life will be held Friday, September 1, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Atmore.

Lucy Mae “Peggy” Stallworth, age 67, of Atmore, Ala. (McCullough Community), passed away recently.
