Due to flooding in the facility in Evergreen, Atmore Lions received a last minute call requesting that they fill in as hosts for the 34C Cabinet Meeting.
Saturday, July 17, Atmore Lions welcomed over 30 Lions to Bethel United Methodist Church for their first cabinet meeting of the new Lions Club year. The meeting was also available on Zoom for members who could not make the trip to Atmore.
District Governor Bub Gideons presided and various officers and committee chairmen gave their reports. Routine business was conducted, followed by a time of sharing with state officers meeting with their local counterparts.
Dixie Catfish served a delicious buffet lunch of catfish, chicken, shrimp, and all the “fixins.” Kudos to Atmore Lions Club for producing a top notch meeting place and arrangements on such short notice.
