The annual Memorial Day observance will be held Monday, May 30, 9 a.m., at the Veterans Monument in front of Atmore City Hall.
Keynote speaker will be Gene Moore the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Service Officer for Escambia County.
Scheduled on the program are Billy Gates, VFW Commander, and Dave Graham, American Legion Commander; Paul Harrison, VFW Chaplain, Invocation and Memorial Day History; Mayor Jim Staff; Lana Langford, National Anthem; Harold Madison and Team, Memorial Roll Call; Steve Reynolds and Fire Team; Bethany Presley, Taps; Jack Wright, Legion Chaplain, Benediction.
As is tradition, a wreath will be placed at the memorial by Gates and Graham during the ceremony.
Some chairs will be available or you may bring a folding chair.
