Clarification

In an article on the May 24 primary elections that appeared in the May 11 edition of Atmore News, some information apparently came from an obsolete website that carried erroneous information.
The article stated that Stephen Sexton, who is challenging Greg Albritton for the District 22 seat in the Alabama Senate, was a farmer. The candidate said the error was published when he told the person composing it that he “was a member of Future Farmers of America in high school and raised chickens when he was young.” Sexton said he has never farmed as a vocation.
Also, the article said District 22 was composed of parts of seven counties. Actually, since redistricting, the district now includes all of Escambia and Washington counties, “about two-thirds” of Baldwin County and four Mobile County cities — Mount Vernon, Satsuma, Saraland and Chickasaw.
