Paula Helton Daniel

Mrs. Paula Helton Daniel, age 85, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Atmore. She was born to George Everette and Mazie Lee Conway Helton. She was the owner/operator of Coiffures by Paula for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul Helton and Jimmy Helton.

Mrs. Daniel is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Raymond Daniel; her sons, Chad Paul Daniel of Houston, Texas, Nathan Ray (Cyndi) Daniel of Bratt, Fla. and Scott A. (Susanne) Daniel of Mobile, Ala.; her daughter, Cyndi D. (Mike) Stacey of Atmore; her grandchildren, Lauren Stacey, Blake Daniel, Dex Daniel and Dalton Ray Daniel and her great-grandchildren, Tazden Fay and Taven Fay.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Waylon Stuckey officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 7, 2022 from Noon until service time at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Carolyn Stacey Hadley

Mrs. Carolyn Stacey Hadley, age 67, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 peacefully at her home in Perdido, Ala. She retired from Standard Furniture with many years of employment. She was a member of Dyas Assembly of God Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed fighting and caring on with Danny. She enjoyed reading books, drinking coffee, shopping the Thrift Stores, and going to Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luzell (Letha Mae Stewart) Stacey; two brothers, Elbert “Fat Boy” Stacey and Willie “Woobie” Stacey; two sisters, Jeanette Stacey Chafin and Marrie Hadley.

Mrs. Hadley is survived by her husband of forty years, Danny Hadley, of Perdido; one son ”Boy” (Megan) Hadley of Perdido; one daughter, Haley (Aaron) Hadley of Perdido; two brothers, Bo Stacey and Bob (Lorri) Stacey, both of Rabun; two sisters, Joyce Hadley and Dianne (Don) Sanks, both of Dyas; ten grandchildren, Mason Hadley, Levi Hadley, Laci Hadley, Lane “Slimy Bazzard” Hadley, Skylar Hadley, Sophia Hadley, Scarlett Hadley, Kamryn Altes, Zoey Jackson, Rustin Foster, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Rev. Don Sanks, Rev. Angelo Thomley and Sis. Helen Stewart, officiating.
Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Pallbearers were Danny Hadley, Boy Hadley, Aaron Hadley, Bruce Jackson, Rustin Foster, Dyson Byrd, and Frank Bryars.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mason Hadley.

Anna Mae Dunsford

Mrs. Anna Mae Dunsford, age 84, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Century, Fla. She was born in Leadville, Colo. and resided most of her life in Century. She retired as a seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills with many years of service. She was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church.
She enjoyed shopping, going to church and reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John (Mary A. Kolenc) Shober; husband, Hubert W. Dunsford; two sons, Roger Dunsford and James Dunsford.

Mrs. Dunsfordis survived by her three sons, Richard (Judy) Dunsford of Tampa, Fla., Michael (Tame) Dunsford and William Dunsford, both of Century; two daughters, Donna (Brian) Bare, of Franklin, Tenn. and Vicki (James) Godwin, of Century; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildre; one great-great-grandchild other relatives, and friends.

Graveside service will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Byrneville Community Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Dunsford officiating. Burial will follow at Byrneville Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Preston Godwin, Dusty Godwin, Jacob Dunsford, Anson Bedwell, Aidan Bedwell, and Kenneth White.

Willie Banks

Mr. Willie Banks, age 55, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. He was born in Conecuh, Ala. to the late Willie James Joyner and Ola Ree Joyner. He received his education in the Conecuh County school system where he enjoyed playing football. He worked in logging with Wayne Brown Trucking and Logging and Bruce Walter. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends making everyone laugh. He lived life to the fullest and on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 gave his live back to Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Frank J. Joyner.

Mr. Banks is survived by his mother; his lifelong companion and true love, Brenda King; five children, Lereita (Hurley) Taylor, Latonia Bradley, Whitney Hall, Willie Hall, Johnathan Banks; four brothers, James Joyner, Johnny Joyner, Jessie Joyner, Adren (Jessica) Joyner; four sisters, Annie Scott, Frances Smith, Martha (Michael) Miller, Vicky Joyner; six grandsons; three granddaughter; close friend, Robert Woods and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Noon at China Community Center with Pastor Wayne Nevelous, Sr., officiating. Interment followed in Old Texas Community Church Cemetery, Old Texas, Ala.

Pallbearers and flower bearers were his family and friends.

Elmore Riley, Jr.

Mr. Elmore Riley, Jr., of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022. He was born in Elmore Riley, Sr. and Rosie Riley. He was a proud 1974 graduate of Escambia County Training School. He was employed with Alabama Tank for twenty-five years. He enjoyed fishing and watching football.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn J. Riley and two brothers, Curtis Riley and Robert Riley.

Mr. Riley is survived by his loving companion, Felicia Banks Bullard; five children, Anushka

Banks, Kenyon Riley, Eric Riley, Felicia Riley and Scottie Hall; one sister, Mary Riley and two brothers; William (Marie) Riley and Ernest Riley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Chevonia Riley, Bessie Johnson, Annie Augustus, all of Atmore, Cathy Norris of N.C., Rev. Charles Johnson, Wilbert Johnson, both of Atmore and Lee Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Amir Wiggins, Jakiya Tucker, Kharter Riley, Erianna Riley, Jaiceon Riley, Shamaia Hall and Aiden Hall; special friends and family, Charles (Sharron) Frye, Dennis Johnson, Lonnie Riley and Jean Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Brian Johnson presiding and Rev. Charles Johnson, eulogist.

Pallbearers and floral attendants were his family and friends.
