PCI hosts electronics recycling day

Poarch Band of Creek Indians held its annual Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Day Saturday, April 30, at PCI Fire Station #1 on Jack Springs Road. Recycling was open to residents of Poarch and the surrounding area.
John Vella, Operations Consultant with Electronics Recycling Services (a program of United Cerebral Palsy), said there was “a pretty good turnout” for the event, at which the company collected 15,896 pounds of electronics. Hazardous materials collection figures were not available.
