One of two Escambia County men arrested last year by Flomaton police on drug possession charges is free after serving just under six months of a 60-month sentence.
During its April 5 hearings, the Alabama Board of Pardons & Paroles granted early release to Tommy Ray Few, 51, who had been serving time at Elba Correctional Work Center.
Few, who was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by FPD officers, reportedly had a small amount of methamphetamine in one of his pockets when he was searched.
Alabama Department of Corrections records show that Few, who also served stints in 2012 and 2008, had accumulated 132 days of “good time” during his most recent incarceration.
He served all but five days of an 18-month sentence imposed in 2012 after his conviction for first-degree escape and served slightly more than the two years to which he was sentenced in 2008 for criminal possession of a forged instrument.
