Michael Wayne Barnhill

Mr. Michael Wayne Barnhill, age 58, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home in Atmore, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore. He retired at Wind Creek Atmore with several years of service. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing basketball, and was an avid Alabama Football Fan. He was a member of Gospel Light Chapel, and a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley White Barnhill; one brother, Roger Wayne Barnhill and one sister, Terri Barnhill Watkins.

Mr. Barnhill is survived by his father, Dillard Barnhill of Atmore, AL; one brother, Ronald “Rocky” Barnhill of Atmore; two sisters, Melissa Barnhill Ellis of Flomaton, Ala. and Madonna Barnhill of Atmore; other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Rev. Charles Rolin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Jerry Darnell Wiggins

Jerry Darnell Wiggins, age 73, of McDavid, Fla., passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla.  He was born on in Century, Fla. to Clifton and Doris McClammy Wiggins.  He retired from Masland Carpets. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  One of his favorite things was to sit on his front porch and wave as people drove by. One of Jerry’s favorite sayings was “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Wiggins is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Brenda Simmons Wiggins; his son, Randy Wiggins of McDavid; his daughters, Alicia Wiggins (Tony Godwin) of Brewton, Ala. and Sherry Wiggins (Kenneth) Roley of Davisville, Fla.; his brothers, Donnie Wiggins and David Wiggins, both of McDavid, Fla.; his sister, Rita Nichols of Atmore, Ala. along with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tyler Roley officiating. Interment will follow at Crary Memorial Cemetery in McDavid.

Active pallbearers will be Tony Godwin, Kenneth Roley, Jon Thorp, David Harrington, Aaron “Pee Wee” Killiam and Clayton Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Fillingim and Paul Walston.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Thomas Wesley Rabon

Mr. Thomas Wesley Rabon, age 73, passed away Monday, April 4 2022 at his home in Bay Minette, Ala. He was born in Montgomery, Ala. and resided for several years in Uriah, Ala. He lived the last thirty years in Bay Minette. He retired from truck driving with many years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and making walking canes. He enjoyed radio-controlled cars, planes, and boats. He was an avid Alabama football fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Arthur and Frances Fortner Rabon; one brother, John Arthur Rabon, Jr. and one sister, Betty Wilks.

Mr. Rabon is survived by his two sons, Brandon (Brandi) Graham and James (Tammy) Graham, all of Perdido, Ala.; one daughter, Christina (Brannon) Smalley, of Bay Minette; one brother, Ray (Rebecca) Rabon, of Waverly, Ill.; eight grandchildren; former wife and friend, Tonya Brown of Perdido; special caretaker, Artie Brown, of Perdido and other relatives, and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jeffrey Lynn Weaver

Mr. Jeffrey Lynn Weaver, age 52, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore, Ala. He was employed with Tribal Police of Poarch Band of Creek Indians for many years. He was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and Friendly Holiness Church. He always loved to prank and joke with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed motorcycles and race cars. He was a loving husband, a great father, and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Rolin Weaver.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his father, James “Red” Weaver of Poarch, Ala.; loving wife of three years, Brittany Weaver of Poarch, AL; two sons, Hunter Smith, of Mobile, Ala. and Hayden Weaver, of Poarch; one daughter, Hayla Weaver of Poarch; one brother, Daniel (Tracey) Weaver of Atmore; two sisters, Frankie (Shane) Haskew of Brewton, Ala. and Christy Warren, of Excel, Ala.; other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. at McCullough Christian Center with Rev. Ray Ward officiating. Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center.

Pallbearers will be Lee Fountain, Steven Bradley, Joey Williams, Lucas Gibson, Kyler McGlothren, and Brandon Lolly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Tolbert, and Dewitt Carter.

Graveside service for Mrs. Helen Henderson – Crumpton of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Atmore, Ala., will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Lamar Family Plot in Lucious Cemetery.

Mr. Paul Peoples, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Michael Hobson, age 49, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, April 8, 2022. The family will receive friends Friday, April 8, 3022 from 3 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Noon at El Bethel Holiness church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
