Atmore police and fire personnel examine a 2009 Nissan Versa that witnesses said ran the stop sign at the junction of Pensacola and East Nashville avenues around 8:38 a.m., Monday, March 14. The car collided with a concrete barrier on the northern side of Nashville, causing major damage to its front end. Police reports show that the driver had twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
