United Bank, founded in 1904 as Bank of Atmore, was host last Thursday, March 10, to the banking company’s annual Joint Advisory Board meeting.
The yearly meeting, which included dinner and a pre-dinner reception, was held at Wind Creek Atmore Casino & Hotel.
The keynote speaker was Cam Marston, the nation’s leading expert on the impact of generational change and its impact on the workplace and marketplace.
Marston’s firm, Generational Insights, has provided research and consultation to hundreds of companies and professional groups, ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations and major professional associations, for more than 20 years.
Local bank employees and more than 150 guests attended the event, including several area dignitaries, as well as advisory board members from the banking company’s Ag and Community Development Financial Institutions, as well as members of the advisory boards of United Bank branches in Escambia, Baldwin, Mobile and Monroe counties in Alabama and Santa Rosa County in Florida.
