An unidentified 75-year-old Atmore man suffered only minor injuries Monday (February 28) when his truck rolled over after crashing into an Escambia County, Fla. school bus.
Florida Highway Patrol reports, which no longer include the names of drivers or injured passengers, show only that the Atmore man was driving a pickup truck when the accident occurred, around 9 a.m., on County Road 164, just east of North Pine Barren Road.
The pickup driver “attempted to pass an Escambia County school bus before striking the bus and then overturning,” the reporting trooper wrote in the incident narrative.
FHP reports indicate that no children were on the bus at the time of the collision, and the bus driver — a 63-year-old woman from McDavid, Fla. — was not injured.
