DOC officers make drug manufacturing arrest

News Staff Report

Details were still sketchy this week on the December 17 arrest of a man who was arrested by state corrections officers on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance.
Escambia County Detention Center records show that Alabama Department of Corrections officers arrested James Glyness McGougin, 34, and processed him into the county jail on three drug-related charges.
McGougin, whose city of residence isn’t shown on the jail web site or the state prison web site, is charged with one count each of second-degree manufacture of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
He remained in the county jail, without bond, late Monday, December 27.
