APL adds more hotspots

News Staff Report

Atmore Public Library recently received several new hotspots for loan to residents who need internet access but have no internet service.
Library Director Hope Lassiter said the small digital devices, which allow users to connect to the internet from anywhere using a computer, smart phone, tablet or other wireless device, are available for one-week loan to any library patron 19 years old or older who is in good standing (no overdue books, unpaid fees, etc.).
The hotspots can be used for numerous purposes, including research for homework assignments, filling out online job applications, telemedicine appointments, or just to connect with friends and family.
To check out one of the gadgets, come to the library and see Lassiter or an APL staff member.
