Meredith McGhee was one of five students who received a medal to wear at graduation and a pin from Pensacola State College President Ed Meadows for being selected as a Presidential Scholarship recipient. The Recognizing Excellence Reception was held October 12 on campus at Pensacola State College.

“There is nothing more important than recognizing good, successful and active students and all of you are certainly that,” Meadows said.

The scholarship recipients also are selected by Meadows from a list of applicants who “represent some of the most exemplary high school students” in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

The Presidential Scholarship is a two-year, full-tuition and textbook award.
