Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) announced that Judy King has accepted the position of Physician Clinic Manager for its four physician practices. In her new role, King will have the overall administrative responsibility for ACH Med Plus, ACH Complete Care, ACH Family Physicians and ACH Primary Care.
“Judy is filling the role recently vacated by Kathy Johnson, who has accepted the position of Revenue Cycle Director with the Escambia County Health Care Authority,” ACH Administrator Bradley Lowery said. “We are very happy Judy has accepted the role of Physician Clinic Manager and we are confident she will do a remarkable job in her new role.”
King joined ACH in 2007 working for Dr. Jonah McIntyre’s physician clinic. She has worked at ACH Primary Care since 2014 and has been the team lead of both ACH Primary Care and ACH Med Plus since early 2020. King has also worked as an LPN on ACH’s medical / surgical unit where she worked from 1993 to 2000 and again from 2010 to 2013. King has been a part of the Atmore Hospital and medical community for more than 18 years and is an integral part of the ACH team.
“Judy began her new role on November 1 and will be reporting directly to me,” Lowery said. “Judy’s experience in our clinics will play a critical role in continuing to provide our community with the same excellent service and building upon what Kathy has been able to accomplish in the previous two years. With a new urgent care under way, we are excited to have Judy in this leadership role and look forward to what the future brings.”
