The Perdido Raiders are the 1A middle school football champions of 2021. It has been many years since the Perdido Raiders football team has had a season as successful as this one. From their shutout against Summerdale to their double victories against Orange Beach, the Raiders have earned their championship title and 6-2 record in spectacular fashion.
Highlights from this season include quarterback Hayden Coley throwing for 1,290 yards and 16 touchdowns with pinpoint accuracy each game, who also finished as the second leading tackler with 36; Roan Branum rushing for 437 yards; Roan Branum finishing the season with a total of 942 all-purpose yards; Brycen Stewart and Destin Wallace as they both finished with 3 touchdowns; Asher Catrett 47 tackles on the season and Mitchell Tubberville 15 tackles; Coen Lambeth finishing with 3 TDs and 16 tackles.
Throughout it all, the Raider linemen held strong.
Leading the Raiders was head coach Vincent Coley along with assistant coaches Josh Overstreet, Chad Lambeth, and Judd Coley.
