GECA auditions are Sunday
Greater Escambia Council for the Arts’ next production is The Beverly Hillbillies. Auditions will be held Sunday, April 25, 2 p.m., at GECA, corner of Trammell and Highway 31. You will be asked to read passages selected by the director.
The cast consists of parts for nine men and 12 women. There are no parts for children in this production, but a kids’ show is in the plans. There are roles for three older teenage girls and if needed, some mature looking teenage boys could be cast in some of the younger adult men’s roles.
Survey results to be presented
Main Street Atmore will host a public meeting Thursday, April 29, 6 p.m., Atmore City Hall, to present the results of a recent consumer survey.
All are encouraged to attend and talk about the opportunities ahead.

Mental health walk set
Help raise mental health awareness and “Stop the Stigma!” by joining in a Mental Health Awareness Walk Saturday, May 15, 8 a.m., organized by Marlo Young, M.S., Mental Health Service Coordinator, Escambia County School System.
The walk begins at the old YMCA on Pensacola Avenue and ends at Tom Byrne Park.
