Jaden Monte James
Master Jaden Monte James, age 11, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020. He was born to Jermaine and Lashelby James. He was a 6th grade student at Flomaton Middle School in Flomaton, Ala. He enjoyed playing football with Alabama Roll Tide being his favorite football team. He enjoyed playing the fame of fortnight but his greatest love of all was church with hopes of becoming a great preacher. He was a faithful member New Beginning Christian Center.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Marie Smith, Buford Mae Stots and Essie Mae James Coleman and great-grandfathers, Fred Sims and Sam Calhoun.
Master Jaden is survived by his parents; siblings, Jermiah James, Jaleel James, Terrell Flavors and Tristan James, all of Atmore; grandparents, Fred and Sarah Flavors, Conway and Jacqueline James, Charlotte Carter and Mary Ellen Jackson (great-grandmother); host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Emmanuel’s Faith Center with Bishop Wayne Johnson, Presider and Bishop Tommie Thomas, Eulogist. Interment followed at Stallworth Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jaleel James, Terrell Flavors, Tray Williams, Fredrick Flavors, LaJavius Johnson and Mashawn Johnson.

Narvie “O.D.” Dortch
Mr. Narvie “O.D.” Dortch, age 39, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020. H was born to Ella Dortch and Geno Martin in Atmore. He attended Escambia County High School and in 2016 joined Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church but later joined New Direction Christian Center. He was employed at West Florida Cotton Gin and enjoyed fishing and his team “The Raiders” and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earnest James, Jr. and Bessie Mae Dortch, Ben and Sylvia Martin and Alice Murph; uncles, Buddy Dortch, Will Dortch, Jr., Clinton Dortch, Roy Martin, Walter Boykin, Albert Lee Haynes, Paul Johnson and one aunt, Mary (Samuel) Riley.
Mr. Dortch is survived by his mother, Ella (Pastor Cal) Abner; father, Geno (Belinda) Martin; special companion, Kissa Stevenson of Atmore; three daughters, Josaline Hollinger, Kirsten Hollinger, Ta’asia Wright; three bonus children, Charmia Hollinger, John Dirden and Jacob Dirden and one Godson, Logan Phillips, all of Atmore; sisters, Felisha Dortch and Teresa Russell; step-sister, Stephanie Thomas, all of Atmore; one brother, Paul Martin; one step-brother, Chris Thomas; aunts, uncles and special family that took him as their own along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. with Bishop Wayne Johnson, host Pastor; Bernard L. Bryant, Presiding and Pastor Tyrone Hartley, Eulogist. Interment followed in Stallworth Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Martin, Rakeem Phillips, Robert Phillips, Roderick Dortch, Marlon Lee, Tymetrius Dortch, Eunice Perdue ad Tommy Dortch.

Embley “Jab” Barron
Mr. Embley “Jab” Barron, age 87, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 after a long illness. He was born in Atmore to the late Leroy and Emma Barron (Montgomery). He became a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Atmore where he received his early education at Ebenezer Lutheran School. He later attended Escambia County Public School System and became an automotive mechanic with Staff Chevrolet/ He later moved to Pensacola, Fla. and worked for Farmbest Dairy many years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leroy Barron, Jr.; three sisters, Patricia Barron, Adean Burrell and Lelia Mae Horn.
Mr. Barron is survived by three brothers, Winston (Sarah) Barron, Willie Frank (Ernestine) Barron and John Thomas Barron; three sisters, Laura (General) Jones, Emma Jean Woods and Dorothy Barron; two aunts, Emma Hatchet and Dorothy Vine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Stallworth Cemetery with Rev. Benjamin Stallworth, Sr. officiating.

Valerie Ann English
Ms. Valerie Ann English, age 50, of Atmore, Ala., passed away, Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Edison, Ga. She was born on in Albuquerque, N.M. to Jesse and Susana Vega English.
Ms. English is survived by her mother, Susana Vega English and her siblings, Michael English, Bruce English, Robert English and Terri Quinn.
Graveside service were held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lottie New Home Cemetery.

William Allen White
Mr. William Allen White, age 67, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. He was born in Monroeville, Ala., to the late James Wilson and Myrtice Sawyer White. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Carney Masonic Lodge #549.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jonathan White; his sister, Nelda Sharon White and his brother, James Donald White.
Mr. White is survived by his daughter, Joanna White of Atmore and his sister, Julia (Gary) McCrory of Columbus, Ga.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Johnson and Bro. Gary McCrory officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.

Stanford W. Gollotte
Mr. Stanford W. Gollotte, age 81, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Mobile, Ala. He was a native of Pelahatchie, Miss. and had resided in Mobile most of his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a retired grocery manager; retired Route Drive/Salesman for Dolly Madison Interstate Brand and Paul Baker Vending Machines.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gollotte; parents, Eddie and Annie Gollotte; two sons, D’Wayne Gollotte and Brian Gollotte; granddaughter, Seairra Gollotte; one sister and two brothers.
Mr. Golotte is survived by his two daughters, Darlene (Larry) Walker of Theodore, Ala. and Charlene (Victor) Allen of Irvington, Ala.; one brother, Cecil Ray (Peggy) Gollotte of Daphne, Ala.; three sisters, Gertie Hudson of Wilmer, Ala., Mary “Sister” Lewis of Millberry, Ark. and Annette Gollotte of Irvington, Ala.; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; long-time friends, David and Carol Richtmyre of Pensacola, Fla. and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Andy Wayne Daughtry, age 58, of Poarch, Ala., passed away Thursday, October 21, 2020. He was born in Atmore, Ala. to the late W.C. and Lottie Lee McGhee Daughtry. He was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Autry Delaine Daughtry and William Todd Daughtry.
Mr. Daughtry is survived by his brothers, Jack Daughtry and Chuck Madison, both of Atmore; his sisters, Sheila (Joseph) Lowe, Glenda McCaw and Sara Rone, all of Atmore and Annette Roberts of Daphne, Ala.; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Judson Creek Indian Cemetery in Poarch with Bro. Trevor Daughtry officiating.

Infant Aubrey Marie Wooten, age new born, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Mobile, Ala. She was born Sunday, October 18, 2020 to Devin & Brittany Wooten of Atmore, Ala.

Vicki Marie Pickern
Mrs. Vicki Marie Pickern, age 62, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her home in Daphne, Ala. She was a native of Wetumpka, Ala., former resident of Bratt, Fla. and had resided in Daphne for the past four years. She was owner of Pickern Grocery Store on Jack Springs Road in Atmore for twenty-three years. She loved flower gardening, her family and especially her grandchildren and was a member of the Christian Home Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Danny Ray Pickern; father, James Coy Holley and two sisters, Janice Hopson and Karen Holley.
Mrs. Pickern is survived by her mother, Virginia Wood of Wetumpka; one son, Tommy Pickern (Lauren Langford) of Atmore; two daughters, Dana Chamness of Daphne and Megan (Matt) Wallis of McDavid, Fla.; three brothers, Wayne Holley of San Diego, Calif., Jimmy Holley of Wetumpka and Michael (Tonya) Holley of Clanton, Ala.; eleven grandchildren, Ethan, Ayden, Dagan, Cloie, Mackenzie, Addison, Ryleigh, Burkleigh, Lauren, Kennedy and Jake.
