BOE sets homecoming, approves personnel

The county’s two public high schools will celebrate homecoming in the next few weeks. At the Escambia County Board of Education meeting Monday, September 14, Superintendent John Knott announced the dates as follows: Escambia County High School, Friday, September 25; W.S. Neal High School, Friday, October 2.

The board approved the following personnel changes on Knott’s recommendation.

Resignation

1. Teresa Nipper, cosmetology instructor, Escambia County High School, effective  August 28, 2020    

2. Norma Black, 6-hour lunchroom worker, Flomaton High School, effective September 4, 2020

3. Donna Lambeth, 7-hour custodian, Pollard McCall Junior High School, effective September 1, 2020

4. Carrissa Lee, 6-hour lunchroom worker, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective September 14, 2020

5. Lena Lindsey, counselor, W.S. Neal High School, effective September 15, 2020

Retirement

1. Patricia Frazier, principal, Escambia County Alternative School, effective October 1, 2020

Transfer

1. Daniel Killam, social studies teacher, W.S. Neal Middle School, to social studies teacher, Flomaton  High School, effective September 14, 2020 (replacing Nicholas Roberson)
