Four people — two minors and two adults — were injured in a three-vehicle accident last Friday, August 28, near the Poarch community.
Official reports were not available, but witnesses said a sedan pulled from Atmosphere Road onto Poarch Road in front of a GMC pickup that was traveling southbound, near the Poarch community.
According to witnesses, the sedan, after it was T-boned, then struck a Republic Services garbage truck that was traveling north on Poarch Road.
The driver and passenger of the sedan had to be cut from the vehicle by Poarch firefighters and were transported by ambulance to an undisclosed area hospital. The juvenile passengers in the sedan were transported to an undisclosed area hospital by Lifeflight helicopter.
The drivers of the GMC and garbage truck were both uninjured.
The conditions of the injured were not available by Tuesday’s press deadline.
