Johnson steps down, McBride steps up
News Staff Report At the last West Escambia Utilities Board meeting, June 17, Jim Johnson stepped down as chairman, ending a 25-year tenure as head of the board, although he intends to remain a member. Johnson joined the board in August 1992 and became chairman in December 1994. When Johnson stepped down, Dr. Ullysses McBride became chairman. Dr. McBride joined the board in June 1995.
