Atmore Citizens for Change will host its 2020 Atmore Election Candidate Forum this Saturday, July 18, at The Club, located on Alabama 21.
A meet-and-greet will take place from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Candidates for all city offices will have the opportunity to meet voters and pass out campaign materials inside The Club.
The candidate forum will begin at 6 p.m. and continue through 8:30 p.m., depending upon the number of candidates who attend. The forum will be held outside under a large tent for social distancing.
Members of the public will be able to submit in advance questions for various candidates. Anyone with questions for any mayoral or city council candidate may send those questions by email to atmorecitizensforchange2020@gmail.com.
The public is invited to attend, and those who plan to do so are encouraged to wear face masks or coverings. Also, for those who don’t feel comfortable under the tent, organizers say a sound system will be utilized to make sure those who remain in their cars can hear what is being said.
