Jackie Lorinda McGhee Smith
Ms. Jackie Lorinda McGhee Smith, age 72, of Poarch, Ala., passed away Friday, April 24, 2020.
She was a graduate of Escambia County High School, retiree of Masland Carpet (over 30 years of employment) and a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ernestine and DC Daughtry, father, Julius ‘Jack’ McGhee; granddaughter, Abigale Renea Smith and brother, Edward Gibson.
Ms. Smith is survived by her three daughters, Denise (Phillip) Young of Stockton, Ala., Rosalind (Jamie) Smith and Amber (Alex) Alvarez, all of Flomaton, Ala.; grandchildren, Megan Young, Mallory (Justin) Rolin, Logan Smith, Tyler (Peyton) Smith, Dalton (Jessi) Smith, Sydney Lisenby, Colby Lisenby and Yanasa Alvarez; great-grandchildren, Emmee Hayes, Aric Rolin, Parker Rolin and Jaxin Rolin; sisters, Charlotte (Martin) Meckel, Marsha (Don) Jackson, Julie (Gary) Trump, Chrissie (Leonard) Duke, Robin Feasby, Barbara (Terry) House; brothers, Allen (Charlotte) McGhee, Douglas Daughtry and Buddy (Janice) McGhee.
In an effort to lessen the spread of Covid-19, the family will adhere to CDC guidelines of social-distancing and other safety measures.
Private graveside services were held Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Judson Cemetery on with Rev. Ray Ward officiating.

Curtis Columbus Welch
Mr. Curtis Columbus Welch, age 76, of Bratt, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Bratt. He was born in Perdido, Ala. to the late Gary C. and Laura Levins Welch. He was a farmer most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Welch is survived by his wife, Marsha Adele Brock Welch of Bratt; four children, Rodney Welch and Lisa Sellers, all of Maryland, Mark Gary Welch of Va. and Katie Marsha (Jeff) Grimaud of Tenn.one brother, Ray Donald Welch of Bratt; sister, Shirley Wyatt of Delaware; nine grandchildren and many family and friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Pine Barren Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Collingsworth officiating.

Elisabeth Margret Klos Graehn
Mrs. Elisabeth Margret Klos Graehn, age 94, born in Kaiserslauten, Germany and a resident of Bay Minette, Ala., passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala. She was a retired Registered Nurse in Germany.
Mrs. Graehn is survived by two daughters, Brigitle Johanna Crenshaw of Atmore, Ala. and Delores Anna Marie Taylor of Bay Minette; four grandchildren, Martin Crenshaw, David Chevrette, Benjamin Crenshaw and Crystal Elisabeth Taylor Darnell and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Serenity Gardens in Atmore with Father Gordon N. Milsted officiating.

James “Donnie” Reed
Mr. James “Donnie” Reed, age 60, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020
at his home in Bay Minette, Ala. He was a native of Oregon, former resident of
Stockton, Ala. and resided in Bay Minette for the past eighteen years. He was a
1978 graduate of Repton High School, avid Alabama Fan, and chemical operator
and was employed with the Creek Travel Plaza.
Mr. Reed is survived by his lifetime partner, Marie L. Reed of Bay Minette; two
sons, Dillon (Caitlin) Reed of Evergreen, Ala. and Cory (Jessica) Holden of Bay
Minette; one daughter, Abby Reed of Bay Minette; three brothers, Steve (Nina)
Coker of Stockton, Bernard “Jim” (Robin) Coker of Atmore, Ala. and William
(Deon) Coker of Sylacauga, Ala.; one sister, Pam (Terry) Byers of Jacksonville,
Fla. and six grandchildren.

Mr. Desmond Deshun “DD” Dirden, age 43, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Atmore. A native of Atmore, he attended Escambia County High School and had worked at Swift Lumber Co. He was a member of Abundant Life Church of Deliverance.
Mr. Dirden is survived by his mother, Margaret Dirden Lymon of Atmore; his father, Willie McNeal of Atmore; two daughters, Alayshia Payne and Samantha Dixon, both of Atmore; two sons, Desmond Dirden, Jr. and De’Andre Dirden, both of Atmore; two sisters, Latausha Roberson and Arrica McCaster, both of Atmore; two brothers, Cordero Dirden and Xavier Lymon, both of Atmore; one grandson, host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Peggy Boutwell Mitchell, age 64, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 in Colquitt, Ga. She was a native and life-long resident of Atmore, Ala. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a retired waitress and was of the Baptist faith.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gladys Smith, Jr. and son,
Jeremy Boutwell.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Ronald L.
Mitchell of Atmore; three sons, Randall Boutwell of Huxford, Ala., Marcus
Boutwell and Terrell (Kerrie) Boutwell, all of Atmore; one daughter, Sandra
Boutwell of Atmore; two sisters, Sharon (Buford) Wiggins of Davisville, Fla.
and Linda McLain of Atmore; eighteen grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren
and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Katie B. Hines Lambert, age 84, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. She was born to George C. Rothschild and Maggie (Hines) Wright. She was a graduate of Escambia County Training School. She was employed at Monsanto. She was an outstanding cook, baker, seamstress and negotiator. She was a member of Mount Gillead Missionary Baptist Church, Freemanville where she served as Deaconess. She was a firm believer in her family attending church and Sunday school regularly.
She was preceded in death by her mother; sisters, Esther Marshall, Ardie Pierce and her husband of more than sixty years.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by four children, LaSylvia Ann McCorey of Coral S[prings, Fla., Pastor Harold Keith Lambert (Lesia) of Rome, Ga., Vincent Renard Lambert (Judy) ad Minister Scottie Derrell Lambert (Sonnia), all of Atmore, Ala.; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Calvin Stotts; host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor CC Lambert officiating.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
