Lucille Carlie Conway

Mrs. Lucille Carlie Conway, age 91, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 in Century, Fla. She was a native of Repton, Ala. and had resided in Flomaton, Ala. most of her life. She was a former employee of the Shirt Factory of Flomaton, Vanity Fair of Atmore, Ala. and Chemstrand. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family and serving others. She was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Conway; parents, Henry and Mamie Morris; son-in-law, Joe Buckley and two brothers, James Morris and Junior Morris.
Mrs. Conway is survived by one son, Eddie (Janett) Conway of Flomaton; two daughters, Hazel Buckley and Joan (Gary) Knowles, all of Flomaton; one sister, Luverne (Edmond) Knowles of Flomaton; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Church with Bro. Jonathan Hill and Bro. Larry Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Escambia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Church.

Roxie Anna Williams 

Williams

Mrs. Roxie Anna Williams, age 92, of Stockton, Ala., Passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Oakwood Nursing Home in Bay Minette, Ala. She was a native of Nichols, S.C. and had lived in Stockton since 1947. The Matriarch of the Williams Family, she had worked many years as a cook at Vaughn Head Start. She was a faithful member of Triumph Holiness Church where she a member of the prayer band. In her leisure, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and the beauty of her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Dillard Williams, Jr.; one son, Timothy Williams; her parents, Ezekiel and Annie Lee; all of her siblings and a granddaughter.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her seven daughters, Louise Williams and Betty Joe Williams both of Chicago, Ill., Jenny Williams, Annie D. Williams, Jeanette (Milton) Bryant, and Linda (Casey) Jones, all of Stockton and Charlotte Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; six sons, Martin (Shirley) Williams, III and Raymond Williams, all of Garland, Texas, Donald (Alberta) Williams of Chicago, Enoch (Nancy) Williams and Nelson (Brenda) Williams, all of Stockton, Laborn (Mary) Williams of Bay Minette; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Triumph Holiness Church – Stockton with Rev. Ulysses McCowin, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery- Stockton.

Cynthia Davis Bush

Mrs. Cynthia Davis Bush, age 54, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was born in Atmore, Ala. to Mrs. Waymond Wingate and General Dixon. She was a 1984 Graduate of Escambia County High School. She was a member of Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was known for her dedicated ability of service to both church and community.

She was preceded in death by her father; two daughters, Jamesha Davis and Jacklyn Taylor; husband, Benny Bush and sister, Cecilia Davis Lowman.

Mrs. Bush is survived by her mother, Mrs. Waymond Wingate of Atmore; two sisters, Yolanda Longmire and Krystal 9James) Powers, all of Atmore; one brother, Alphonse Levon Davis Sr. of Atmore; one God-daughter, Jasmine Ty’Shay Martin of Atmore; Godparents, Rose Helen and Frank Jones; aunts, great-aunt and one uncle; devoted family and friends, Patricia Simons, Bonnie Striveson, Janet Rotchild, Ora Banks and Jackie Etheridge; host of nieces, nephews, cousins.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church with Prophet Shawn Williams, Pastor and Eulogist and Dr. Willie L. Williams, Founder and Bishop. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her nephews and friends.

Flower bearers were the Class of 1984, nieces and friends.

Mrs. Climmie Grant Lindsey Johnson of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Daphne, Ala.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 20, 2020 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Wanda Wright Marshall

Wanda Wright Marshall, age 54, of Century, Fla. and a native of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Faith Center Church.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 20, 2020 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home Chapel

Tommie Eugene Milstid

Mr. Tommie Eugene Milstid, age 87, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at West Florida Hospital. He was born to the late Floyd Milstid, Sr. and Maggie Lee Whittington. At a young age he moved to Baton Rouge, La. and worked in the Construction business. Later moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast he played a big part in rebuilding the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Camille. He later became a real estate developer and worked until late in life. He was liked by everyone and loved by his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arva Ruth Milstid and his daughters, Janet Michelle Milstid and Kara Christina Milstid; brothers, Issac Melvin Milstid, Junior Floyd Milstid, Charles Rudolph Milstid and one sister, Ester Valois Hall.

Mr. Milstid is survived by his son, Greg Eugene Milstid of Pace, Fla. and two brothers, James Edward Milstid and Guy Loyd Milstid, both of Baldwin County, Ala. as well as many nephews and nieces.

There will be no service at this time out of consideration of others during the current health crisis. He will be cremated which the family feels is best at this time.

Mrs. Sue Beck of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in Jay, Fla.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later.

 

George Winston Foster, Sr.

Mr. George Winston Foster, Sr., age 76, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at his home in Phillipsville, Ala. He was a native of Atmore, Ala. and had resided in Phillipsville for the past thirty-four years. He retired from International Paper Company and was a member of the Hall’s Fork Hunting Club. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharlene Benton Foster; parents, George Lee and Maggie Mae Foster and daughter, Darlene Foster Stewart.
Mr. Foster is survived by special friend, Shirley Jackson of Pensacola, Fla.; son, George (Paula) Foster, Jr. of Rabun, Ala.; one brother, Aubrey Foster of Rabun; two sisters, Elsie Mae Brown of Loxley, Ala. and Maggie Lee Chancey of Bay Minette, Ala.; four grandchildren, Casey (Lacey) Stewart, Darla (Brad) Lawley, Kara (Josh) Mulder and Brett Foster and seven great-grandchildren, Lane, Leighann, Emry, Chloe, Valley, Easton and Mary-Evelyn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Hall’s Fork Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gayland Hadley, Phillip Hadley, Jason Roley, Chase Stewart, Allen Tyree and Marlin Stamps.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Hall’s Fork Church of Christ Cemetery.
