J.U. Blacksher’s K.D. Rabb continues to be a veritable scoring machine. Rabb, who recently set a new school record with 94 points in a three-game week, combined last week for 63 points in a pair of wins over neighboring schools.
Rabb led JUB to a 68-54 victory against A.L. Johnson last Friday, January 17, then did the same in a 67-42 win over J.F. Shields on January 14.
In addition to scoring 37 points against ALJ’s Eagles, Rabb also contributed five rebounds, three steals and an assist.
J.T. Tucker also hit double figures, scoring 10 points, while Josh Peavy had 7, Jackson Reid scored 6, and Bubba Nettles and Dorien Quarles added 4 points each.
In the win over J.F. Shields, Rabb struck for 26 points. Nettles (18 points) was the number-two scorer again; Tucker scored 10 points, and Deon Hill added 3.
“Rabb is an unbelievable athlete,” JUB principal Donald Baggett said. “What he can do with a ball is beyond amazing.”
Baggett said school record books are currently being skimmed to determine if Rabb has reached or surpassed the school’s career points record.
“Rabb has over 1,000 career points,” Coach Wes Sims said. “We will look through and add up the numbers to see if he will be the new record holder for the most career points scored by any one player.”
With a slew of talent led by Rabb, the Bulldogs have extended the season record to 18-2.
JUB will travel to face Mobile Christian this Thursday, January 23.
