3 hurt in S. Main, Craig collision
News Staff Report Three people escaped with only minor injuries after a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon on South Main Street. The wreck happened around 4:20 p.m. when a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by Sereida Ruiz, 20, of Atmore was hit by a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 57-year-old Karen Morin of Brewton. Sharing space
A new sign placed just north of Atmore, along Interstate 65, invites motorists to not only visit Wind Creek Casino & Hotel but to also visit and shop Historic Downtown Atmore. Mayor Jim Staff said Poarch Creek Indian tribal leaders allowed the city to share space on the sign and that the city would reciprocate with shared space on similar, city-funded signs to promote the area.
