The Atmore Lions Club met Wednesday, August 21, at the Atmore Country Club.
President Bub Gideons presided. Lion Audrey Moon gave the invocation and blessing.
Alabama Lion Sight Executive Director Barry Elliott was introduced as the guest speaker and spoke on this being the 75th year anniversary of Lions Sight. His presentation included pictures of the sight bus which is used to check vision in rural counties. One of his goals is to secure another bus, the cost of which is $300,000. At the conclusion of his presentation, Lion Bub Gideons presented Elliott with a check for $3,000 to go toward the purchase of the new bus.
In other business, Brittany Flowers and Tom Tschida were welcomed as new members and each was presented a Lions pin.
