Jackson holds early lead in sheriff’s race
Escambia Co., Fla. deputy sheriff Heath Jackson held a 70-vote lead over Escambia Co., Ala. Chief Deputy Mike Lambert in early returns posted on the Alabama Secretary of State website.   Jackson held a 240-170 lead over Lambert in the first local vote totals reported.   District 7 BOE member Coleman Wallace led Independent challenger Amanda “Mandi” Thompson by a 17-10 margin.

Man arrested after domestic dispute
News Staff Report An Appleton Road resident was arrested Monday (November 5) after Escambia County deputies responded to a domestic dispute at his home. According to a press release issued by ECSO Chief Deputy Mike Lambert, Timothy Wade McCall, 30, was taken into custody after law enforcement officers and tracking dogs caught up with him in a wooded area near his home.
