Special to Atmore News
The fifth-grade students at Perdido School in Ms. Danielle Brown’s and Mr. Craig Canaan’s classes recently visited Dauphin Island on a field trip.
There they learned that marine debris is impacting our world in various negative ways. One solution is to reuse, reduce and recycle. In this culminating project, students reused trash from their homes to create litterbugs or litter creatures. No materials could be purchased for this project. They described their critters in imaginative ways.
These critters are now on display in the school library reminding everyone how they can be more mindful on the trash they discard every day.
