News Staff Report
It’s that time of year again, when local farmers and growers are starting to harvest their crops, and the public is ready to enjoy homegrown vegetables and fruits and homemade jellies, jams and other products.
To help bring growers and consumers together, Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will present the first installment of its annual Market in the Park promotion this Saturday, June 9, at Heritage Park, from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Local and area growers, canners and others will also be selling their wares — ranging from tomatoes, corn, blueberries and other vegetables and fruit, to honey and other canned or jarred products — on the second Saturday of July and the second Saturday of August, during that same time period.
For more information on Market in the Park, call the Chamber at 368-3305.
