Pastor Willie Hawthorne, officers, and members of Greater Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church cordially invite all to worship with them as they celebrate the 131st year birthday of their church. They also invite you to worship with them during their Annual Spring Revival.
The church anniversary will begin Friday, March 16, at 7 p.m., with the Reverend Henry Hawkins, Pastor of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church, Flomaton, and Mayor of Century, delivering the message. This celebration will climax Sunday, March 18 at 3 p.m., with the Reverend Danny Benjamin, Pastor of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, Nichbury, Alabama and Moderator of Bethlehem Baptist District Association #2, delivering the message.
Rev. Benjamin will also be the evangelist for the revival Monday, March 19, through Wednesday, March 21.
The following theme and scripture have been chosen for church anniversary and revival:
Theme: “Consider now from this day and upward the foundation of the Lord’s Temple.”
Scripture: “Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid, consider it… “ Haggai 2:18.
A native of Brewton, Rev. Benjamin is a pastor, preacher and teacher of the Gospel. He is the son of Deacon Kyler and Mrs. Lena Benjamin. He and his wife Janet have four children – Danny Joshua (Cha’Terrica), David Nicholas (Courtney), Daniel Jonathan, and Andrea Monique; and three grandchildren, Danny Joshua (DJ), Jr., Charles, Jr., and Chelsea Monet.
Rev. Benjamin dedicated his life to Christ at age 17 in 1972. In 1986, he answered the call to preach the Gospel.
