Atmore residents receive UA degrees
The University of Alabama awarded approximately 5,000 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7 in Tuscaloosa. Degree recipients included the following students from Atmore: Caitlyn Bruley, Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Colton Cumbie, Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Information Sciences; James McKinley, Master of Business Administration; Jamieka McMorris, Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration; Sarah Ziglar, Bachelor of Science in Education.

Tropical Storm Cindy approaches – Expected to dump rain, rain and more rain
Although Tropical Storm Cindy was still being called “Potential Tropical Cyclone Three” early Tuesday, the oncoming weather system was expected to dump more rain on an already saturated Gulf Coast as it neared landfall in Louisiana.
