A four-year-old child passed away last week as a result of injuries sustained in a two-car collision two weeks ago.
Jay’Ceon Jermain Howard, 4, died Tuesday, May 2, four days after the accident that claimed the lives of two Atmore residents Friday night, April 28, on Jack Springs Road. Christopher Henry Lowe, 37, and 22-year-old Shalonda “Angie” Trenee Rudolph were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened around 9:45 p.m.
Trooper reports indicate that a 1991 Chevrolet that Lowe was driving and a 2005 Nissan driven by Rudolph crashed head-on on the heavily traveled, two-lane highway. Lowe, who owned Brickyard BBQ, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle when the cars collided about two miles north of Atmore.
The little boy, a passenger in the Nissan, was the nephew of Angie Rudolph who was killed. He was not in a child restraint and was also ejected.
A joint funeral will be held for Jay’Ceon Howard and Angie Rudolph. Their obituaries are on page 3A of the May 10 edition of Atmore News.
