Only minor injuries resulted from a Sunday (April 16) collision that occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m., when the driver of this Nissan Xterra pulled from the Unity Baptist Church parking lot, onto U.S. 31 and into the path of a Jeep Wrangler Sport. Atmore Ambulance Service medics checked each person, then left when each refused transport to the local hospital. City firefighters and a sheriff’s deputy directed traffic around the mishap until an Alabama State Trooper arrived and took charge of the scene.
