The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a mobile home at 362 Blackwell Lane early Wednesday afternoon. Blackwell Lane is off Kaiser Farm Road, off Ewing Farm Road.
Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said the target of the search – Gilbert Wade Blackwell, 28 – was not at the residence at the time of the search.
Blackwell was arrested about a month ago but had bonded out.
Lambert said agents had made illegal drug buys at the residence for the past 4-5 months.
Charges from today’s search include distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana 1st. There is also an active warrant out on Blackwell for bond revocation.
“He wasn’t here,” Lambert said at the scene. “But we’re sending him a message here – surrender to the sheriff’s office.”
