The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts is presenting Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest this week.
Sherrie Hursh and her daughter Dana Landis are directing the two casts – both are complete children’s casts, with a total of 36 kids, ages 7 to 18. The purple cast will perform Thursday and Saturday, the orange cast on Friday and Sunday. In addition, they are performing 12 school shows.
Sherrie said this is not the same play as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which can sometimes be dark and a little scary for young children.
Tickets, $7 for GECA members, $10 for non-members, are available at Atmore News, 128 S. Main Street.
Show dates are Thursday, February 16, through Saturday, February 18, 7 p.m., and Sunday, February 19, 2 p.m.
The play will be performed at the Greater Escambia Center for the Arts, 100 S. Trammell Street.
