Bethel United Methodist Church will host Crosby Lane in concert Saturday, February 25, 6:30 p.m.
Crosby Lane is named for one of the most prolific hymn writers of all time – Fanny Crosby, who wrote more than 8,500 hymns. To God Be the Glory; Praise Him! Praise Him!; Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior; I Am Thine, O Lord; Rescue the Perishing; and Blessed Assurance are but a sampling of the unforgettable hymns she has penned.
Crosby Lane is all about the music that has moved – and still moves – generations to worship the Lord.
Crosby Lane concerts are packed with enthusiastic arrangements of hymn classics. The audience will be singing along at times and listening intently at others.
Mixed with testimony are the stories behind the songs.
The group is from Nashville and has been featured on national television networks like DayStar, Great American Country, CMT and MTV.com, and numerous others.
Bethel UMC is located at 5191 Highway 21, Atmore.
