Wind Creek Atmore Property Manager Tim Ramer and Assistant Property Manager Terri Morris recently presented TITO checks to Flomaton Elementary School and Turtle Point Science Center, totaling more than $20,000.

Both facilities have big plans for the funds they received.

“The money will go towards our boardwalk renovations,” said Turtle Point Director Jackie Word.

The project will cost roughly $50,000; until funds are raised the nature boardwalk will be closed indefinitely. With the TITO donation of $11,688.58, Turtle Point is almost a quarter of the way to meeting its fundraising goal.

Flomaton Elementary Principal Diane Holmes and Counselor Susan Kirk were overjoyed with their donation from WCA and hope to use some of the funds to implement the Leader in Me Program. This program teaches leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

In the TITO (Ticket in Ticket out) program, WCA guests turn in unwanted cash out tickets, and at the end of each month the money is donated to an organization or cause.
