BOE approves personnel recommendations

The Escambia County Board of Education approved the following personnel recommendations by Superintendent John Knott at the special board meeting Wednesday, July 15.

Resignation

1. Tiffany Oliver, English / language arts teacher, Escambia County High School, effective July 7, 2020

2. Leviticus Wilson, elementary teacher, Escambia County Middle School, effective July 6, 2020

3. Danielle Wallace, English / language arts teacher, Flomaton High School, effective July 12, 2020

Employment change

1. Jonathan Barnes, special education instructional aide (185 contract days), Escambia County High School, to social studies teacher (187 contract days), Escambia County High School, effective August 3, 2020 (replacing Kimberly Eddins)

2. Lora Matheny, elementary teacher, Huxford Elementary School, to ARI reading specialist, Huxford Elementary School and Pollard McCall Junior High School, effective August 3, 2020 (replacing Cynthia Saucer)

3. Shannon Martin, elementary teacher, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, to ARI reading specialist, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective August 3, 2020 (replacing Chameka Jackson)

4. Lotoya Cooper, assistant principal (202 contract days), Escambia County Middle School, to federal programs/assessment supervisor (240 contract days), Brewton Central Office, effective July 20, 2020 (replacing Sarah Watkins)
