The Walk continues
Women of Distinction held their annual cancer awareness walk – A Walk to the Park – Saturday, October 14. Opening ceremonies were at Atmore City Hall. The walk ended at Houston Avery Park. Proceeds are used to provide gas cards to assist local cancer patients with travel expenses for treatment. Shown is this year’s group of walkers.  
Eagle Scout
Escambia Academy student William Howell has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Ribs on Ridgeley
Put together some long tables down the middle of a street, serve some ribs by South Alabama Vending and homemade pies by Myrna Monroe and you’ve got the recipe for a fund-raising success. Ribs on Ridgeley is a project of the Pride of Atmore Committee with proceeds going to downtown revitalization. Pride Chairman Bub Gideons said 160 people were served. Perdido VFD visits pre-K Class
