Jackson holds early lead in sheriff’s race
Escambia Co., Fla. deputy sheriff Heath Jackson held a 70-vote lead over Escambia Co., Ala. Chief Deputy Mike Lambert in early returns posted on the Alabama Secretary of State website.   Jackson held a 240-170 lead over Lambert in the first local vote totals reported.   District 7 BOE member Coleman Wallace led Independent challenger Amanda “Mandi” Thompson by a 17-10 margin.
