New police cars
Atmore Police Department officials recently took delivery of five new Ford Explorer patrol vehicles that were custom built to include special emergency packages. The purchase, approved by the city council in September 2017, was from Johnson Ford, which submitted the only bid. The Explorers cost $26,668.08 apiece, a total expenditure of $133,340.40. They will replace five of APD’s highest-mileage Dodge Durangos. News photo by Tom Tschida
