North Main building damaged by fire
By DON FLETCHER News Staff Writer An unoccupied building used by a local funeral home’s owner for family gatherings was substantially damaged when a fire broke out in the earliest hours of Monday, November 30. An unidentified Atmore resident was arrested in the first hour of Saturday, November 28, and charged with DUI after crashing into a utility pole at the corner of East Horner Street and Pensacola Avenue.
