Thanks to funds from ALProHealth, administered by the Escambia County Extension System, some Atmore crosswalks are getting a makeover. Landis Design Co. is working on the Trammell and Ridgeley street intersection, but have been delayed at times due to rain. As of now, this is the only intersection scheduled for art crosswalks. Fourth of July fireworks at Wind Creek never disappoint, and folks who attended this year were treated to a spectacular show. Several fireworks mishaps were reported around the country this year, including one death in Indiana, but fortunately the local display went off apparently without a hitch.
