Ribbon cutting
Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce officials and Ambassadors, as well as several supporters, joined James Brooks (with scissors) and his wife Kenyatta (holding Sydney) for the June 14 ribbon-cutting to Play Palace, a “fun zone” where kids from toddlers up to age 12 can take part in learning activities, jump on miniature inflatables or play foosball, basketball, pinball-type video games and more.
UA releases honors lists
A total of 13,103 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2024 at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. Swimming & diving lessons set at Tom Byrne Park Pool
Registrations for the first session of swimming and diving lessons will be held Monday, June 17, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Tom Byrne Park Pool.Lessons will be June 24 through July 12 with classes at 10 and 11.
